Tumbledown Hollow

Made Well. Kept Wild.

Twig & Toad is a small, story-led studio tucked away in the woods of southern Missouri.

It began with handmade soap and the peculiar little world outside my door: moss, creek beds, mushrooms, weather, wandering paths, and the creatures who seem to have appointed themselves residents.

Somewhere along the way, that world became Tumbledown Hollow.

What started with soap grew into books, paper things, weekly Hollowposts, small adventures, and a place more and more people turn to when they need the world to feel a little less sensible.

Made Here, Slowly 

The soap is still made here by hand, in small batches, with thoughtful ingredients, natural clays and botanicals, and scents inspired by the woods around me. 

The books, stories, printables, Hollowcards, Field Notes, and other odd little things from the Hollow are made here, too. 

There is no particular rush. 

Twig & Toad is built at a deliberately human pace, with room for things to take as long as they take and for good ideas to wander in unexpectedly.

Welcome to the Hollow

You don't need to know the map.

Read a Hollowpost. Print something ridiculous for your refrigerator. Go outside and inspect a suspicious mushroom. Come home with a very fine stick. Or simply wander around for a while.

A great deal of what happens in the Hollow is free to join, because playing here shouldn't require a purchase.

And if you'd like to bring something home, there are books, soap, balm, paper goods, and other things of varying usefulness in the shop.
