DEPARTMENT OF HOLLOW AFFAIRS
MEETING MINUTES

June 20, 2026

Meeting was scheduled for 9:00 AM.

Meeting was postponed until 10:00 AM.

Meeting was postponed again until 11:00 AM due to unusually pleasant weather.

Meeting eventually commenced at 2:17 PM after repeated reminders that "this is exactly how important things get delayed."

Present:

Deputy Clerk 
Moss Inspector 
One field mouse who arrived late carrying a strawberry and an overly pleasant disposition.

The strawberry was not asked to leave.

Old Business

Community Complaint No. 1 (Woodpecker)

Complaint received.

Response received.

Additional response to the response also received.

The Department now possesses considerably more information and approximately the same amount of understanding.

Matter remains under review, although unlikely to amount to any official action.

Community Concern No. 1 (Missing afternoon)

Several residents reported the loss of a perfectly good afternoon.

Search efforts were limited by the fact that nobody wanted to do it.

Recovery remains unlikely.

New Business

Department Meeting Attendance — Meeting attendance was lower than expected during to unusually agreeable weather. 

Several members were eventually located outside.

Their explanations were accepted.

Seasonal Observation — Summer appears to have arrived.

The Department recommends appropriate levels of loafing, wandering, and shade-seeking.

Further guidance will be issues if absolutely necessary. 

Administrative Matters

No further Administrative Matters were discussed due to the ongoing weather complication and the fact that several participating members kept dozing off.

Adjournment 

Meeting concluded at approximately 2:43 PM after general agreement that further administrative activity could wait until tomorrow. Or maybe next week.
